Touched with kindness

Well another month has just whizzed by and here we are in the merry month of May. A few weeks ago I got the chance to have some free time to myself so I decided to put together some RAKs that I had intended to send out months ago.

This was for my dear sweet friend Cath. Like myself she has had some trying times lately and I just wanted to return the favour of all the love support she has given to me and my family. I thought the chicken chart would be perfect for Cath's chicken coop, isnt it cute.

This little package was for another dear friend Annette. She has been another great support listening to my daily moans and groans as we've chatted some nights on facebook. I love all the different craft pieces she makes so I;m sure the fabric and trimmings will be put to good use.

There are a few other RAKs heading overseas but they will have to wait until the next post before I can reveal them.

The lovely Lesleyanne very kindly loaned me this cute Halloween chart last year. With everything going on around here I kept forgetting to send it back, I felt so awful when I realised that I had kept it so long. I couldn;t return it without a little something so I stitched this spring bunny as a little thank you.

Another good friend celebrated her Birthday this week. Michelle is as mad about birds as I am about snowmen so I thought this would be perfect. Pop by her blog and see the collection off beautiful stitched gifts she received.

With the limited stitching time recently I;m so pleased with the progress I have made on "Out on a limb".

An apple for the stitcher..lol. I love the colours the designer has chosen. It feels as if you could just pick the apple right off the fabric. I;m hoping as this month closes I will have it finished, completed a monthly ornament, my exchange piece and two birthday gifts.

Once again two dear friends sweet kindness touched my heart and made me cry when I received these beautiful gifts recently. Your both very naughty spoiling me again thank you so much for your love and support. Sorry it was another dark and dreary day here in Scotland when I took the awful pictures.

June made me this beautiful needlebook, card, notebook and included this gorgeous purple pen.

This gorgeous pillow was from Sally. I love how its finished. I just wish you could see the colours better its so pretty.

The beauty of friendship, like the beauty of flowers, is very hard to describe in words.  There are many kinds of friends ... just as there are lots of different flowers, and yet each has it's own unique beauty to offer.

As I;ve mentioned many times on my posts I;m so thankful to have my stitching in my life. It has brought me so much joy and helped me get through    some tough times. That little scrap off fabric, needle and thread has not only created wonderful images it has brought so many special friends into my life.
These flowers are for each and every one of you. Thank you for being there for me. I can;t tell you how much you have helped me get through this awful year my family has had. The blog comments, emails, chats on facebook, yahoo, cards and the beautiful RAKS that have brightened many dark days I hug you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Hopefully in the coming months I can look forward to more stitching time and the chance to catch up with you all. Hugs!
