Finishes & Blogger problems!

Well here I am again and I;m hoping that this week is going to turn out better than last week. My DD Heather was very poorly with her asthma and both Ian and Craig had a viral infection. Normally I am the one who catches all the colds and bugs but oh joy how lucky was I to have three of them sick at the one time. Thankfully they are nearly all on the mend. It did give me a chance at the week-end though to stitch, stitch, stitch and I had a day off work yesterday so I gave myself a kick in the butt and got some finishing done. I completed my Autumn exchange piece for Cath and will post a picture when she hopefully has received it sometime this week.

This is my September Stitch-A-Long finish. The design is a freebie by Erica Michaels. As regular readers know my finishing is always a challenge for me but I am quite pleased with this one..lol.

This is Octobers Stitch-A-Long finish. Now this design is from Lizzie Kate, sort off..lol. I was stitching this last Saturday night while watching Strictly Come Dancing and X-Factor. I was so engrossed with the tv I didn;t realise I had stitched the words Trick, Treat,Tree, Fence and the House all out of place. I didn;t want to start ripping so I just added a Cat, Spider, Bats and a Moon.

Fingers crossed this post will work as I have been trying for hours for the past few days to make a post. For some unknown reason after I upload one image, do some text and go back to upload another the browse button just won;t work. I;ve tried lots of stuff but nothing seems to fix it. The Help area for blogger is just useless. I finally found someone suggesting on a forum that I try going back to the Old Editor. If this doesn;t work I;m gonna be the one sitting on my naughty chair..lol. Hope everyone has a great week-end.Hugs!

Lovely stitching Elaine and lovely finishing. I think your finishes work out very well, I've still not attempted any myself. The halloween piece is very quirky. :-)

so sorry everyone has been sick......it seems to be a world wide thing right now...I am hearing of people sick everywhere.
the stitching looks wonderful!
hey, at least you know how to get words above & below your pictures! I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do that!

Lovely finishes Elaine! Love your L*K one and the "changes" you made lol!

Yeah Blogger is being a pain but this morning I've managed to update my blog no problem. I type all my text first then add photos later. I make sure my cursor is where I want the photo, upload the photo I want then add it and, hopefully, it goes in the right place!

Such cute Halloween finishes!

I guess it's that time of year for respiratory systems to act up. Glad everyone is starting to feel better.

Hopefully, Blogger will settle down. It certainly has it's periodic hiccups!

Hope your family recovers soon!

Your autumn finish is lovely and the Halloween one is great :)

Did you receive my email I sent some days back? I had some problems with emails and as I haven't received an answer, I am worried my email might get lost.

Have a great weekend!

Very cute finishes, Elaine! I love your story about how you added more Halloween motifs to cover up your placement errors--looks great--no one would ever know :)

I do hope you and your family feel better very quickly--not much fun to be sick in such a pretty season.

Your finishes are absolutely stunning. I love them both. I usually upload photos first and then add the words where I want them. Glad to hear your family are on the mend.

I love your finishes! I haven't finished off my Halloween pieces yet. Amy has already claimed the Sept SAL piece and has 'suggested' that the Oct one would be a nice companion piece. :p Looks like I'll be stitching them again for me. :) Well, at least with your LK piece, it's an original! :) You made it look great! Nice save. Hope everyone is feeling better. Amy, Lil Louie, Amber, Nate & Josh were all sick with a virus. Hope it stays away from me! Btw, have you received the package from me yet?? I haven't been on Fb too much lately cause we're painting all the time. I usually just pop in and out quick. Trying to get the house done before the snow flies! :p {{{hugs}}}

Thanks so much for stopping by recently! I can't imagine not decorating my house for each season(it's been popular over here for yrs), but I guess some countries are just not into that kind of thing. You should see my neighborhood~ they almost compete to see who can outdo the other!! It's a hoot!

I absolutely LOVE your pillows you made and the fabrics match them perfectly!
Great job!

Your finished are so cute! I love the way you managed to solve your problem by adding some more stuff ;) Lol! It works!

About blogger, it's not only a problem to you, it really hasn't been working very well in the last couple of weeks! I've been having lots of trouble to comment on other blogs, we have to give it a break and try again later... I wish that blogger will be back to normal soon!!

Have a nice weekend dear! :)

Both projects look great.

Darling, darling pillows! Lovely work!

I saw on the blogger message boards that they are phasing out the old editor and implementing the new one only. Apparently, it's causing problems for everyone, but should get better once the old editor is completely removed. I've had a hard time posting as well.

Guess what I had in my mail box? :D
