A finish and a little RAK!

I finished my first February Sheep today. It was a delight to stitch. My little sheep is off course unique as I didnt; realise until I went to do the swirly bits that I had stitched the bottom of his body in a different colour off thread from the top. I could have changed it but I love him and thats what matters.

Way back in December I had a competition on the Stitched with Love Exchanges and dear June won this package off goodies along with the Snowman I had stitched. After I took the photograph I packed everything away and being Christmas I had put it in the back of the cupboard and completely forgot all about it. Last month when I was stitching a RAK for June it came into my mind that I hadn;t sent the winning package. I was so emabarassed! Thankfully June understood what a scatterbrain I am and has now received them.

This is my first RAK off 2012. I am planning to do more of those through-out the year for friends and regular visitors to my blog. June loves her garden and shares such beautiful photographs of her flowers. I thought this Rose would be just perfect.
Hope everyone is having a lovely week-end. Hugs!

A Sheepy Month!

Well here comes February! I hope I get to play with my needle and thread as much as I did in January. I managed to complete 4 Birthdays gifts, 2 RAKS, 1 Exchange piece and my January ornament. Wow, even I;m amazed I did all that..lol.

I;m still awaiting my results from the hospital and was feeling a bit sorry for myself this week but my postman brought me this wonderful treat from my dear friend Sally. She knows how much as old Ewes love our Sheep. Thank you so much Sally it was the perfect pick-me up. I;ve got them both kitted up already. February is going to be my Sheepie month.

Just in the nick of time I finished my Santa for the Christmas Ornament SAL. Those pesky frogs were all over him so he isn;t quite perfect but I do think he;s cute. This was also the first time I used the bobble trim. As we say in Scotland it was a footery (awkward) job that I won;t be in a rush to do again. Please visit the blog and see the other beautiful Santas. Our theme for February are Ornies with a Christmas tree in them. You can join in whatever month you wish and complete as many as you like.

Finally I will leave you with a picture of  Patch the newest member of the family. My DD Heather and myself have begged and pleaded to have a dog  for many many years but DH just wont; agree and I suppose to be fair I can;t really have one with my job either. I was so thrilled when my dear Mum gave us Patch for christmas. She lovingly made him for us. He;s just pefect no barks, , no walkies, he just stands there and looks adorable..lol.
Be back soon with my sheepies. Hugs!

Hugs & Stitches!

Thank you to each and every one of you for all the hugs and support on my last post. I attended hospital on Friday for some tests. Hopefully I will get the results soon.
I really can;t bare not to share my stitches, it;s only a tiny peek but these are two Birthday gifts and two RAK pieces I will be sending out sometime this year. Another Birthday piece I can;t share as it has the persons name on it and its too early to reveal my Exchange piece....

My final piece is a Lizzie Kate Santa I am stitching for the Christmas Ornament monthly SAL. The link is on my sidebar for anyone who would like to join us or just pop over to see everyones lovely stitches.

I hope everyone is having a lovely stitchy week-end, hugs.

Thank you for being my friend!

I;m sorry but 2012 hasn;t brought more sunshine into my life but some really dark clouds. Our family troubles still continue and I;m now trying to get my head round being told by my Doctor last week that I need to be seen by a Cardiologist as they have discovered something wrong with my heart. Myself and my family are still  dazed and in shock with this news. Though difficult I;m trying my best to relax and rest. I;ve been doing a lot of reading and stitching. I;ve just had my third finish today but I'm afraid I can;t show any pictures as I;m working on Birthday gifts for friends in 2012. I;ve also had a great response to the Christmas ornament SAL I started both this and my exchange blog are helping to keep me occupied. Finally to my dear friends out there who are sending me lots of love and support I can;t thank you enough. An email, a comment, a chat on online I so appreciate them all. Thank you for being my friend!

Back again already, who would have believed it!

Yes believe it or not I;m back with another post already. Finally over the Christmas and New Year holidays we have enjoyed some relaxing family time. We were all spoiled with so many beautiful gifts and thank you to all my dear stitching friends who brightened my day with all those gorgeous stitched and home-crafted gifts. I hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays.
As I haven;t stitched for a few months I was rather worried as I thought my mojo had gone walk about. I took out two wips did a few stitches in both but just couldn;t get enthused at all. I left it a few days then decided I needed a new project. I;ve started on awww shhhh can;t tell...lol, it;s a gift for someone who follows my blog. It;s sooo pretty and it really has got my mojo back in gear. So much so I;ve set up a blog for anyone who would like to join me in a Christmas ornament SAL.  Like many people I always tell myself I;m going to start early and make lots off Ornaments for my tree and gifts for friends and family but Christmas always sneaks up on me and I don;t get any finished on time. Each month I am going to stitch a different theme. I will post my chart, threads and fabric and my progress as I go along. If you would like to come join me just send an email and I will give you access to post. You can join in as often or as little as you like. Go on come play with me....
