I really should be doing housework today but my needle and thread is calling to me so I am going to be real selfish today and put my feet up, watch some movies and stitch. Hugs.

My little freebie snowman is all finished, I have to say he looks better in real life than he does in the picture..lol. I just love snowmen and in a few weeks time I will be bringing out my collection that I display in my home every christmas. I have stitched ornaments, pillows, candles, musical , ceramic, cuddly , just snowmen, snowmen and more snowmen and of course what am I stitching next, more snowmen...
Happy stitching everyone.

Another finish & WIP
Not much time to stitch this week but this is my WIP so far on the plumpuddingneedleart freebie. The colours are completely different as I love stitching my snowmen with bright colours. Fingers crossed I will get a chance to settle down in front on tv tonight and stitch, stitch, stitch. Hope everyone has a good week-end. Hugs!

Monday, Monday
These pictures that are on my blog today, including my home page one were all taken by my husband Ian. He is a keen amateur photographer and we were delighted when recently he got permission to display his photographs in a new local garden centre tea-room. He took me there for lunch today and we were thrilled to be told he had sold his first photograph. If anyone would like to see more photographs you can view them and also purchase framed or mounted images on his website at http://www.ianmainphotography.com/ . A nice christmas or birthday gift for that person who already has everything and we all know one of those people...lol.
I also want to say thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read, leave comments or is now following my blog. Hugs!

Few Finishes
This little ornie is the first piece I have stitched for a year and thankfully it has got my stitching mojo back. The design is from the uk Cross-stitcher magazine. I am now working on a really cute freebie design using vikki clayton silks. It is stitching up really quickly but I can't tell you what it is or show any pictures as its a gift for another stitchy blogger.
I haven;t had a great start to this week as I have been in a lot of pain the past few days with my gallstones. I was diagnosed a few years ago but its only in the past three months that I have started having really bad attacks again. I managed to get an appointment with my GP next Monday so hopefully he will contact my consultant and get me moving on the waiting list to get them removed. My two year olds Mum has also given me notice to leave next Friday. I am really going to miss her, it is so difficult when you take a child into your heart and home and then they have to leave. Saying good-bye is the hardest part of my job.

Isn;t he gorgeous!
I got a lovely surprise today when the postman brought me this gorgeous chart from Linda at Lavender Wings. I entered the door-prize competition at the online needlework show and I was over the moon to get a chance to choose a chart of my choice from Lavender Wings. Please check out Lindas great designs at www.lavenderwings.com , you will be spoilt for choice. I don't have any stichy cash right now so I am gonna have to stitch my Santa with what I have in my stash. I'm sure he will turn out to be just as cute though.
My week hasn;t got off to a great start as my little two year old mindee got sick on Monday and I had to get Mum come pick her up early. Mum also gave me notice as she has got a new job with shift works so she doesn't need me anymore. My four year old isn;t returning until Friday after being off for five weeks and my eight year old only attends eight hours a week now. Like everyone else out there the credit crunch is really hitting home now. I have had no enquiries in the past six weeks and I;m trying not to get myself into a tizzy about where I am gonna find the cash to pay next months bills. Having no kids to take care of though gives me free stitching time , I am nearly finished Just Add Snow a lizzie kate design and even though I want to stitch more ornaments I might just have to start on my long-legged Santa. Happy Stitching!
