Monday, Monday

Here is the SamSarah design I am currently working on. It calls for weeks dye threads but as I don;t have those I am using a combination off Vikki Clayton silks and Katies Kloths threads. So far I have changed the green heart to pale pink and I am swapping around some of the little shapes. Hopefully it will turn out okay.

I had a real treat on Saturday when I got to spend the day with my best mate. We had a lovely pub lunch, then spent a few hours browsing around the local shopping centre. We didn;t have any money to buy anything but we had a few giggles in the department store trying on hats for the mother of the bride. We;ve both got 18 year old sons but neither of them even have a girlfriend..lol. Sunday was spent stitching and chatting online as usual and today I should have been doing housework but I decided to do more stitching instead. I guess I better get off here and get the hoover and duster out.

More ramblings!

Well the easter bunny has come and gone. He very kindly left me my favourite chocolate buttons egg, which I have scoffed most off already.. It was a lovely relaxing week-end. I didn;t venture outside at all. I chatted online with my stitching "sisters", surfed the web, stitched and watched tv. I really should have been doing some spring cleaning as I've got that I hate my home syndrome just now. There so much junk lying around, I feel as if the walls are shrinking and the cupboards are over-flowing. A major clear out needs to happen soon. I plan to have dinner then settle down to a few hours stitching. I should be finished the piece I am working on soon (shhh its a secret) then I am going to start on a baby chart called Here I am by SamSarah designs. Can't believe how much stitching I am getting through just now. Lisa I know you are going to be stitching some cows soon, thought this picture might give you some inspiration to get your butt in gear..lol! Hugs

At last I have completed Crysantha Mumford , my final fairy in the Cricket Collection Garden Fairy Series. The back-stitch in the hair was a bit off a pain but apart from that I have enjoyed stitching all four of them. Just took me three years..lol.
I had a good rumble through my stash today and I have kitted up four or five pieces to keep me going. I am starting with a small freebie design by Glory Bee called Spring Tulips. I am forever hopeful that Spring will arrive soon. I spotted some crocuses at the week-end but the forecast is for frost and sleet this week so the poor flowers won;t have a chance. Hugs!

Tuesday Already!

Can't believe its Tuesday already. I;m getting my Childminding Inspection tomorrow so I am rather stressed out my box just now. I need to have my diplomatic hat on for this but I think mine got thrown in the fire long ago, just have to bite my tongue..lol! I've got about another hour of paperwork, housework and then I am going to sit down and stitch. I didn;t have time on Sunday to play with my stash so I relented and picked up Crysantha Mumford. Fingers crossed I will be finished her by the end of the week and then I can start something new.
Got to dash!

Catching Up Again!

Well as you can see my life is so exciting the last time I posted on here was October 2007. Christmas and New Years has gone in a flash and here we are already in March. Apart from having a rare night out in
February to celebrate my brothers Silver Wedding I have been working, reading and stitching, stitching, stitching.

I have completed Flora Greenleaf from Calico Crossroads, a small 18th birthday pillow and the four seasons spots by the Trilogy. I really should pick up Crysantha Mumford by Calico Crossroads as I started her in January but had to put her aside until I could afford some krenik thread to complete her wings. I do now have the thread but I am just not ready to finish her. I am itching to do something new but no idea what. Guess I might spend tomorrow raiding my stash or maybe I should buy something new, what do you think girls?
Hugs!
